Getting an award like this from people whose blogs I love reading really means a lot to me! :D If you don't already follow them, please go check them both out!!!
Link back to the person who gave you the award; share 7 things about yourself; award this to 15 recently discovered bloggers (or as many as you can)
Let's see, 7 things about me I want to share -- hmmm...
- I have a twin brother. No, we're not identical, and yes, I've had someone ask me that in all seriousness. We fought like snakes and mongooses while we were growing up - REALLY didn't like each other. Then we went our separate ways for college and
he finally stopped being such an asswe both matured, and now I wish he was in the same city as I am rather than a 5-hour drive away, so I could see him and his family more often. How did that happen?! - I am left-handed
- I am a voracious reader. I especially love sf/Fantasy, and have been known to read 600-page paperbacks in a day if I had nothing else to do, or if I don't have to be up early the next morning. (And some times even if I do...)
- I was friends with The Hubster for about 7 years (and while he was married to his first wife!) before we started dating. And no, I had nothing to do with their divorce -- we didn't start dating until about a year after their divorce.
- For all the video gaming systems and games
my husband haswe have, I'm not a video-gamer. Yes, he gave me one of the hand-held gaming systems a few years ago, and yes I did finish a couple of the games he got me, but it's definitely not my favorite thing to do. And I STILL consider myself a non-gamer, even though I play Farmville on Face Book almost every day. Go fig! - The reason I part my hair on the right is to help hide the scar on the left side of my head. The scar is left over from the brain surgery I had the summer before my Senior year in high school. I had a blood vessel burst in my brain due to an AVM, and was rushed to the hospital and had to have brain surgery. (Trust me - senior pictures with a head that's half-shaved aren't the best of pictures...)
- When I was 24, I came up with a design for a tattoo that I'd get when I turned 25. I still have the design, but haven't gotten the tattoo yet. Maybe I will have screwed up enough courage by the time I turn 40... Especially now that I have a friend who does wonderful tattoo work. Maybe...
Thank you my dear for this wonderful award. I so do apprecaite it.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to do some reading. Gotta get to know you a bit, you know!!
Take care and have a blessed weekend.
My father always claimed that he couldn't remember his twin sister's birthday. I could see him trying to sell people on the idea that they were identical twins.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I am so grateful that you thought of me. I'm a new follower.
ReplyDeleteThank you ALS! I will do the formal post about it tomorrow but did acknowledge it on my post today.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for nominating my blog for this award! I have bookmarked your blog and will definitely be back to read more. I too love reading and sci/fi and fantasy is my fave as well. Have you ever read George RR Martin??? LOVE him :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the award!! I have one tattoo and can't wait to get another. Hubby and I talked about getting one together, but he's kinda nervous I think. Once you get one though, you'll want another- promise!
ReplyDeleteThe Merry - I love it!!! I'll have to borrow it... ;D
ReplyDeleteSuper Super, I love George R. R. as well -- I hope he finally comes out with another book in the Song of Ice and Fire series soon!!!
Mrs. D. - I highly doubt he'd ever get one of his own. He's okay with thie one I want to get because it would/will be on my ankle, rather than anywhere more... central. ;)
I was given this award again today and thought I would say hello. Hope you are well :)
