Today was a good day -- started dance classes again! I'm an assistant teacher on Tuesdays, so it's a bit more relaxed and less intense for me than Thursdays are. (And I didn't wind up dancing much at all in the second class - one of our longtime dancers brought in her 5 WEEK old baby, and I was able to hold her and "dance" with her while she snuggled with me and fell asleep... *blissful sigh...* Made my night! :D (I don't have kids of my own, so I really enjoy moments like that whenever I can get them...)
I took in 1464 calories, and danced for a total of about 1 hour (out of two - first night of the Beginning class is always a lot of talking, and explaining, rather than jut dancing, and I've already mentioned my distraction in the second class...) and had 140 oz. of fluid, in addition to my usual mug of coffee. ("Fluid" includes the 32 oz. Propel Zero I had during classes.)
And I had a preview of an NSV last night and tonight: I was able to easily take my wedding ring off for the night (and put it back on easily this morning)! I usually don't bother taking it off because I don't want to have to deal with wrestling with it, but I thought I'd give it a try and - it came right off! I of course put it back on and tried it again, both nights -- same thing!!! I will declare this a solid NSV when I've been able to do it for a week straight. That way I know it's not a fluke like very low sodium intake or the cold weather getting my hopes up. :}
Well I really need to get going to bed -- G'night, all!
Wow, that's a lotta dancin, and how lovely to get to hold a five week old baby, they are so benign and perfect at that age.
ReplyDeleteThat's so great on the ring, I was so excited when I could wear mine again.
I'd love to learn to belly dance...
ReplyDeleteI cried when my wedding ring fit normally again, it was the biggest deal. I have an engagement ring that I'd never been able to wear with my wedding ring even though its a set. I can wear them together now and it's so lovely.
ReplyDeletePauline, you can definitely learn to belly dance! I recommend checking out your local rec center, or even community colleges might offer Belly Dance classes. All shapes, sizes and ages, and it's lots of fun! ;D
ReplyDeleteBeth and Ninja - I can definitely understand the emotion!!!
I'm considering taking classes one day.. like as a reward for losing a certain amount. Or pole-dancing classes.. Guess which way Mr. D is leaning? ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome on the NSV!! I still remember when I first noticed how loose mine was- I had to get it resized in December :) Keep that up!!
